What is Software as a service (SaaS)?

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a cloud-based software delivery model where applications are hosted and managed by a third-party provider. Users access the software over the internet, typically via a subscription. SaaS eliminates the need for installation, maintenance, and hardware management, offering flexibility, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Examples of SaaS include Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Salesforce.
