What is Outpatient?

An outpatient is a patient who receives medical treatment or care without being admitted to a hospital for an overnight stay. Outpatients typically visit healthcare facilities like clinics, doctor’s offices, or outpatient departments for consultations, procedures, or diagnostic tests and return home the same day.
