What is Readmission Rate?

Readmission rate refers to the percentage of patients who are admitted to a hospital again within a certain period (usually 30 days) after being discharged. It is often used as a measure of the quality of care, as high readmission rates may indicate inadequate treatment, poor discharge planning, or follow-up care.
